"Individually brilliant childcare"

Class sizes

As a private day nursery we operate with very small class sizes. This ensures the children in our care are not overwhelmed by a large busy environment and they also receive maximum CARE and attention.

Personal, Social and Emotional Development

Focuses on children learning how to work, play, co-operate with others and mix in a group other than their family.  This involves children feeling safe, secure and able to trust practitioners.  Learning to respect themselves and others.  To develop a state of well being, having confidence and good self esteem.

Communication, Language and Literacy

Focuses on children developing skills in communication, speaking and listening in different situations and for different purposes. One key area Caring Kindergartens were delighted to pioneer in childcare was both our Signing (known as Makaton) and Le Club Francais classes; this has now been adopted by many operators and is a valuable tool in this area of children’s development . Being read to from a wide range of books, reading simple texts and writing for a variety of purposes.

Mathematical Development

Cover basic maths and provides the basics in using key skills.  This area of learning includes Problem solving. Reasoning and Numeracy, counting, sorting, matching, seeking patterns, making connections, recognising relationships and working with numbers, shapes, space and reasons.

Knowledge and Understanding of the World

In this area of learning children are developing the crucial knowledge, skills and understanding that help them to make sense of their environment, other people and features of the world.  Children are given the opportunity to use a wider range of tools safely: encounter creatures, people, plants and objects in real life situations and in their natural environment.

Physical development

Focuses on children developing physical control, mobility (different ways of moving around). Awareness of space and manipulative skills (ability to handle a range of objects) both indoors and outdoors.  Physical development also helps children develop a positive sense of well-being.  We believe in the importance of physical activity and making healthy choices in relation to food.

Creative development

Focuses on how children’s imagination develops and their ability to communicate and to express their ideas and feeling in creative ways.  To extend the child’s curiosity through a variety of Art, Music, Dance, Imaginative, Role Play activities and design technology.

Special Educational Needs

In each nursery we have a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator. Their role is to work closely with the staff and the children, ensuring that each individual Child receives the specialist support they require.

Well-being reviews following the methods developed by Child Education theorist Frere Leavers, are completed regularly, so we can monitor and continue the support for each child, as required.

We have an Area SENCO who oversees and offers support to the SENCO's in all the nurseries holding regular meetings and keeping them up to date with latest developments and methods. In addition, where appropriate, we will work with the local authority SENCO and other specialists (For example Speech or language therapists) to provide specialist advice and support as needed
